'Gripping Adoornments' 

was a project I began in 2012 when I was in Suzhou, China in an alley behind the Xuanmiao Temple, a place & area I had visited at least a hundred times before, but something spoke to me when I saw these particular "Guardians Of The House." Something about the universal symbolic energy of doors. And I was captivated by that moment forward.

I stayed in front of that door for nearly an hour, using angles, aperture, iso, etc. & in the back of my mind I thought what an awesome series it would be to compile a decade of photos I take of door ornaments, especially since I was traveling the world extensively at that point in my life.

I found that I had already been taking photos of different locks, handles and chains, so the mission was set and here we are 10 years later '"On X" and an "Increment Of 10" and I present 75 different visual images from 6 different countries spanning 10 years, all the epitome of RUSTRACT.
